Community Level Description

Discipleship Ministries at Hinsdale Seventh-day Adventist Church exists on three main levels: community, congregation and core. These categories are represented by the three concentric circles. The outer circle of Outreach is what we are focusing on..

The Goal of Outreach
is to minister to Seekers in our larger Community for the ultimate purpose of introducing them to Jesus Christ. Seekers are unchurched people who are looking for answers to the difficult and often existential questions of their lives.

The Process of Outreach
is personal in nature and determined by the spiritual gifts, personality type and evangelistic style of the Discipler, the level of friendship with the Seeker, and the types of questions needing to be addressed. It is never manipulative or impatient, and always motivated by love.

The Ministries of Outreach
focus on building invitational relationships between Disciplers and Seekers on every level, from low impact events like cooking classes to medium impact contemporary worship services or small groups to high impact programs like Bible studies leading to baptism.
