The church in business meeting of October 6th voted several important matters.

Vision Catching Statements.

Following passionate discussion and some limited modifications of the proposals that had been prepared by the Vision Catching team and approved by the church board, the following statements were voted:

Vision:

Glorifying God by Growing Together
 

Mission:

To Know, Worship, and Serve Jesus Christ, Now and for Eternity
 

Core Values:

Prayer, Biblical Truth, Meaningful Relationships, Children and Youth,

Adventist Christian Education, Community, Mentorship, Spiritual Transformation
 

Ministry Priorities:

Discipleship, Empowering All to Serve, Small Groups, Evangelism,

Outreach to the Community, Dynamic Youth and Young Adults Ministries

These statements are the result of much prayer and hundreds of hours of “listening” to the Holy Spirit and to one another. I want to thank each of you for your prayerful support for this process that began eight months ago in February.

These statements will be the guiding vision for our church in the months ahead. Let’s remember that these statements are not set in stone. They simply represent where we believe God has led us to at this point in our collective journey. We need to be willing to continue seeking God’s direction and vision and be open to new things He will reveal to us.
